Modernization of passenger lifts in Poland

Passenger and goods passenger lifts installed between 1970 and 1990 are the greatest problem faced by Poland. The lifts, as indicated by research, suffer from nearly all 74 hazardous situations specified by the SNEL standard.

The changing face of standards: Safety devices for elevators

Elevator safety has been enhanced by a further amendment to the harmonized EN 81 standards. This affects the handling of safety requirements for elevators. As a matter of principle, elevators used for passenger transportation must comply with European directives. TÜV SÜD Industrial Service assists elevator owners and operators and lift manufacturers in implementing new regulations.

The fair proves the national Elevator Industry growth

More than five thousand visitors attended the third edition of the Expo Elevador, the largest fair in the entire South, Central and North Americas. This year, ExpoElevador took place in conjunction with the 1st edition of Expo PredialTec – advanced technologies for buildings – on August 18th and 19th at the Exhibition Center (Centro de Exposições Imigrantes) in São Paulo. ExpoElevador proved the increase of the capacity and the high level of Brazilian industry, achieved through the attainment of greater market access supplier of parts and components.

New date for the Spanish Elevator Exhibition Ele-Espana
