Recent weeks show run on exhibition space
AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen GmbH
In recent weeks there has been an accumulation of registrations from Southern European countries for the coming interlift 2005. Elevator companies from Italy, Spain, Turkey and Greece will be achieving the largest national representations. The Chinese participation in Hall 3 will have grown considerably in comparison to interlift 03, much more than originally planned at the beginning of this year. As a result this exhibition hall is practically fully booked. In addition a very big delegation of visitors is expected from China.

interlift FORUM more international than ever
Whereas in the past the interlift FORUM had been more nationally orientated, it has now developed in a much more international direction. Through the professional support of the VFA Academy, well-known speakers have been won for the programme of lectures. All the presentations in the FORUM will be simultaneously translated free of charge into German and English. In addition to the lectures – around 25 papers lasting 20 minutes each – there will be other interesting topics. The ELA (European Lift Association) will be making a presentation on Wednesday morning concerning the influence of the introduction of the new SNEL (Safety Norm for Existing Lifts) on national legislations around Europe. Bob Caporale of the ELEVATOR WORLD will be presenting a paper on the subject of “Emergency Elevators in case of fire and other catastrophes” on Thursday afternoon. The VDI and VDMA (Association of German Engineers and German Engineering Federation) will also be speaking on Thursday about the importance of national regulations, preceded by Prof. Ya-Pu Zhao who will speak about thelatest developments on the subject of “Chinese-German cooperation in the Project Elevators 4.0 m/s in China”. The complete programme of the interlift FORUM will be completed by the end of June at the latest and will be published in the internet. (www.interlift.de)
Welcome back to the interlift ROUND UP
We will shortly be sending out the invitations to the exhibitors of the interlift 2005 for the mandatory exhibitors’ evening, the interlift ROUND UP. As a result of the great success last time, the “Red Grizzly Saloon”, an original Western saloon, will once again be at the centre of activities. A cordial invitation is extended to exhibitors and their colleagues and employees, and to customers and visitors.
Convenient: activate guest tickets online
Anyone wanting to save time and avoid the queues at the ticket desks can now easily activate the guest tickets online from his workplace, a new and convenient arrangement.
The corresponding internet address www.interlift.de/freischaltung can be found on the guest ticket. By activating the guest ticket the visitor transforms the guest ticket into an entry ticket. In the past the guest ticket always had to be exchanged at the ticket desk for an entry ticket. This new arrangement should make the daily queues at the ticket desks a thing of the past.
