interlift-Forum

interlift 2005

At the last trade fair held in 2003, the interlift-Forum proved very valuable: a solution had finally been found for lectures and product presentations to accompany the exhibition. The VFA Academy headed by its business manager Werner A. Böhm had taken responsibility for organizing it, and had formulated the issues to be discussed there. It began with papers in areas such as “Energy-saving concepts”. Other topics discussed were “Safety and quality”, “Trends in lift construction” and “Technical innovations”. Thanks to the provision of simultaneous translation (German – English), one thousand people attended this year, an appreciable increase on previous years.

What language was to be used for the address and the discussion was decided case-by-case by the moderator after consulting the speaker and the audience.
The various addresses showed that work is being done on the same segments in countries all over the world, but that it would be of great advantage to coordinate the various codes.

It was interesting to get insights into the situations in other countries and into the effects of European guidelines and standards, particularly the effect of SNEL standards on the new EU member countries.

We do not need to go into more detail about the speeches since the presentations will be put on the internet by the speakers and can be called up from there. In any case, future trade fairs should continue to move in this direction.
