The international participation to interlift becomes more and more important venue by venue. This is proven by the figures of comparison. What had thus made more sense than to promote interlift there where the biggest potential of exhibitors is available: in the People´s Republic of China.
As per agreement with China Elevator Association, an information venue had been scheduled for November 24th, 2006 for which CEA took over sponsorship and cared of the logistics. As the place of the venue Suzhou, located 90 minutes of drive west of Shanghai, had been selected. CEA, AFAG and VFA-Interlift e. V. took up the duty of single lectures on the subject. Invitations were sent to all the members of CEA of which more than 60 followed the call.

Thereafter interlift 07 was presented being world wide the most important meeting spot for the industry. A statistical overview of the main figures of the fair, starting 1991, was given for the information of such participants in the auditorium so far not having been exhibitors yet. The possibilities of participation, service, question of visa, process of registration as well as tourist excursions in Bavaria have been presented in detail. The interest shown for interlift was very big, which means that one can start from the assumption of a further increase of area by Chinese exhibitors. The number of visit ors shall increase as well, the organising Chinese Association CEA disposing already now of many registrations.
Mrs. Lorenz, representing BTG GmbH, the official freight forwarder for interlift, informed the participants about the transport of exhibits to Augsburg.
The next presentation dealt with the possibilities of government support of fair participation abroad by Mr. Zhao Jingchen of China National Enterprises Association for Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. This presentation had been followed with special attention by the auditorium because by the financial support through the Chinese Government a further motivation is given to join interlift.
Finally Mr. Jony Liu of TÜV-SÜD in Shanghai explained the single procedures of certification in Europe based on the lift directive and the family of standards EN 81.
At the end of the venue four single company registrations for space on interlift have been signed formally and handed out to Mr. Kalsdorf, on top of the common stand reservation of 600 square meters for the members of CEA.
