LIFT EXPO in Moscow 2009

Lift EXPO Russia opened from May 27th to 29th, 2009 for the fourth time its doors to the world. The exhibition took place in a new hall, the pavilion No. 75. It is located in direct neighbourhood to the COSMOS-Hotel, in which a good number of the exhibitors usually stays. The hall is equipped in modern way and offers all facilities for performing international exhibitions .

Ahead of the exhibition it had not been easy to get into communication with the organizer, finally however everything had worked, at least for the boots on the common stand of VFAInterlift , the organization of which had been taken over once more by AFAG.

The official figures for visitors and exhibitors read:
120 exhibitors in total out of which 52 from abroad. 3780 visitors from the industry gathered information on the exhibition, out of which 40 % were said to have attended the exhibition for the first time.
The impression that the exhibition had shrunk by about 1/3 in comparison to the events before and that also visitors, with the exception of the first day, were less could not be denied. Possibly this may be due at least partially to the present economic and financial crisis in Russia, however possibly also other factors.
On the other hand Russia and the republics of the CIS are an enormous market, stagnating may be at the moment instead of growing. Seeing the matter with the long term perspective, growth shall come back. Possibly this will be already evidence in 2011, the next date for LIFT EXPO in Moscow.
