According to the exhibition catalogue the exposition included the products of approx. 160 manufacturers from 19 countries: Germany, Turkey, China, Italy, Greece, France, Belarus, Ukraine, Japan, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Spain, Slovenia, the USA, etc. Exhibitors included lift builders, assembly and service organizations, engineering and expert centers, state bodies of technical supervision.
Since the first exposition “Lift Expo Russia 2003” the fair has considerably expanded the general display area. In 2005 the exhibition was visited by 5500 experts from 25 countries, of which more than 20 percent have established business contacts with exhibitors to deliver lift equipment. The exhibits included passenger, cargo, cottage, intraroom, garage, panoramic, hospital and other kinds of lifts, lifts for people with sight, hearing and musculoskeletal system problems, escalators as well as finishing materials, accessories and everything needed to manufacture, install and operate vertical means of transport.
Business meetings, presentations of the enterprises and their production within the limits of the exhibition are an effective means to expand and deepen the interaction between state structures, enterprises and branch organizations, representatives of civil engineering firms, workers of housing and communal services, architects and businessmen.
The exhibition reflected the potential and opportunities of development of the lift and lift component market by means of a priority national project “Accessible and comfortable habitation for the citizens of Russia”.
Organizers of the exhibition “Lift Expo Russia 2007” are the Joint-Stock Company “AK Lift” and the Open Society “Government Corporation All-Russian Exhibition Center”.
This year, too, a group of VFA members joined up to run a joint stand under the customary organizational competence of the VFA and AFAG: Bode Components GmbH, Brugg Drahtseil AG, Drahtseilerei Gustav Kocks GmbH & Co. KG, Eden Design GmbH, Leistritz Hydraulik GmbH, LM Liftmaterial GmbH and the two branch journals Lift-Journal and Lift-Report.
Other well-known companies exhibited their products at their own stand or together with their Russian partners. SKG Metallschneider for example “went independent” and set up their own stand in co-operation with their Russian partners. Wittur AG, IGV S.P.a. Kone and the Kleemann Group were also represented in the All-Russian Center. Most exhibitors rated the discussions and meetings held on the fair as positive. Although it is not easy to find a firm foothold on such a new market, the prospects are promising. An internationalization of the exhibition was evident. The number of expert visitors able to overcome the language barriers is rising. Otherwise one had to rely on the services of competent interpreters.
The exhibition ended with a ceremony during which all exhibitors received a medal and a certificate of participation. Some meritorious companies were separately awarded with cups and other prizes.
